Greg Pak
Family, Men, Personal Stories
Home movies, photographs and interviews illuminate filmmaker Greg Pak's search through the elusive and conflicted past of his grandfather, who immigrated from Korea to Hawai’i in 1938. During conversations with extended members of his family, he uncovers the turmoil left in the wake of this one man. Eventually he is drawn into the life of his grandmother and a longing to find evidence of love between his grandparents.
“FIGHTING GRANDPA is a sensitive and probing portrayal of Korean immigrant grandparents and their marriage through the brilliant use of home movies, photographs and interviews.”
